Our Deen is so wonderful that it caters for the young and the old and considers all their permissible desires as well.
In fact, the acts of Deen are such that they often allow a person to fulfil many of these desires (making his heart happy) and also allows him to earn rewards at the same time. Muslims therefore benefit in this world as well as in the Aakhirah.
